Sextener Dolomiten Anschluss

From the Sillianer Hütte, the first night of the existing Karnischer Höhenweg, the route turns north instead of continuing along the Carnic ridge, crossing into the Sexten Dolomites to the Dreischusterhütte and on to the Zsigmondyhütte beneath the Drei Zinnen. Steep, short stages with a complete change of scenery, from grassy Carnic ridgeline to bare Dolomite rock.

Shares its first hut with the Karnischer Höhenweg but heads a different direction from there entirely. Worth watching as its own chain rather than folding into that tour's booking window. Three huts, three calendars.
