From the Falkenhütte, the Adlerweg's own Etappe 9 leads over to the Lamsenjochhütte through the Großer Ahornboden; Etappe 8 then continues from there to the Erfurter Hütte. From Erfurter Hütte the route leaves the Adlerweg and continues east out of the Karwendel into the Rofan, then on to the Kellerjoch-Hütte high above the Inn valley — a connector usually walked as separate day trips, not part of the official Adlerweg.
This chain shares Kellerjoch-Hütte with the existing Inntaler Höhenweg and Erfurter Hütte with the Rofan-Rundwanderung, but isn't a subset of either one. It's the connecting stretch both of those tours stop short of. Four nights, four independent calendars, tracked as one chain.
